Home Stagers examine the space of a home and choose items to accent and create a beautiful atmosphere for potential buyers. The staging will often occur throughout each room of the home to entice buyers.
How much training is needed to become a Stager?
No particular skills or training is needed. Most assignments only require that the ‘Stager’ have interior design knowledge and can put pieces together well. It may be a good idea to have a portfolio prepared for those who have more experience. There are schools that teach interior design and home staging, though often certification is not a requirement.
How much do Home Stagers earn?
According to Chron: “Personal organizers are often paid by the hour. The average hourly salary ranges from $50 to $150, according to the Accredited Staging Professionals, an arm of the International Association of Home Staging Professionals. Bureau of Labor Statistics categorizes a stager’s earnings per job, with an average of $75 for a consultation and $500 per house.”
