Search Engine Evaluator Jobs

What is a Search Engine Evaluator? What does a Search Engine Evaluator Do? A search engine evaluator conducts research, evaluation and feedback on search engine results by, but not limited to, measuring the relevance and usefulness of webpages in correlation to predefined queries, by providing comparative analysis of sets of search engine results and various other techniques.

That was a mouthful! So an evaluator would compare results to analyze relevance…which basically ensures that when you or I click on links that what is described is available in the link will be what we see on the other end. How many times have you clicked on a link and it didn’t go anywhere? Or it didn’t go where the link’s description said it would? That happens to me often when I bookmark a site and go back to it and the site is “for sale”!

With these positions I have discovered that a bachelor degree is required to apply. I would assume that any other remote or contract positions you find available on the sites would be for professional level individuals. You will also be required to sign confidentiality agreements to be accepted.

  2. Wow Audra,
I had never heard of these positions. When I think of all the days I spend on the computer fooling around, I could actually make some money doing it. This is great information. I think I will look into this. I’m a retired teacher, I would think I would be a good choice for this. I will have to check the link where they have resume examples. Thank you so much for this information. I’ve been looking for a way to bring in some extra funds.
